sawako ogo | disasterchaotic is a dancer, choreographer and performer, based in Berlin, Germany, originally from Tokyo, Japan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from San Francisco State University and has performed the works of various choreographers including Christian Burns, Lenora Lee, Joe Landini, Natasha Adorlee, and Erin Chi-Fang Yen. In 2022, Sawako was nominated for the Isadora Duncan Dance Award for outstanding individual performance in San Francisco, California.Her original works both solo works and collaborative works were supported by Tanzwerk*kassel , Tanztendenz e.V. / Hier Jetzt Residency, Elektrokagura in Germany and Lenora Lee Dance, RAW Dance, West Wave Dance Festival, Texas Dance Improvisation Festival, The Finnish Hall, RAW residency in the U.S., to present works at theaters and venues such as: ACUD Theater, Theatre Pool, schwere reiter in Germany, and SF War Memorial & Performing Arts Center, Joe Goode Annex, The Finnish hall, and Texas State University in the U.S.
